Frequently Asked Questions

Does it taste like coconut?

No — coconut sugar has a rich, caramel-like flavour similar to brown sugar. There's no coconut taste at all. It works as a 1:1 replacement for brown sugar in most recipes.

Is it healthier than white sugar?

It has a lower glycaemic index than refined sugar and retains trace minerals. However, it's still sugar — use it in moderation as you would any sweetener.
